Spectacular Death Tabbard

Spectacular Death (A-Llane-US) is the total WOW experience with lots of fun at a casual pace. We see and go to all places in the WOW universe from classic to current content, PvP and arena. This is no-pressure raiding at its finest with friendly, helpful people interested in working through all WOW has to offer together. We will never have a realm first in any endgame, but we will have the most fun when we arrive. Our "race" to see everything is more of a saunter with an emphasis on fun. Our guild motto is "Here. Hold my drink and watch this," so you can see where our emphasis lies.


This guild is not for everyone, however. You must review the Code of Conduct before asking to join. It is also recommended that you read our Raiding Guidelines as well.

A New Raid

Saturday, April 6th, we went back into Uldir. The only boss left was G'huun. The hardest part of the fight is the tossing of these orbs. There's an achievement in Blackrock Foundry where you have to get ore into a hole and this is similar. We didn't do very well the first attempt as we had to remember the mechanics of that tricky part of the fight. 

Then Brighide rolled a "1" and had to sing the battle cry. 

Tarsan was having issues with his Discord so as he was telling us what to expect from the third phase, his mic kept cutting out. He was so frustrated. Because I believe in honesty, officers do swear in Officer Chat. We do tease them when they do, but it happens. Zylostout said, "Look, it's going to take us a bit to get the orbs down. At the break (meaning our one hour break), you can log out and then tell us what to do. We'll just wing it!" 

We came back after the wipe and answered questions about the orb tossing. I think we all knew if we can nail that part of the fight, we pretty much had the encounter beaten. It took us four wipes to get the orbs tossing down. We got into phase three and suddenly, Tarsan realized he hadn't given us a complete brief on what to do. To our credit, when he called things out, we did them. 

Boom. Dead G'huun and Uldir officially cleared on normal. 

Officer Chat -- Zylostout, "So, that took 45 minutes. Are we going to that 'other' raid?" Mizauki, "Absolutely!" Gwydion put up a mage portal and off we went to Battle of Dazar'alor. We have not been in here since it opened. Our priority was Uldir. Oh hi Ra'wani Kanae. We meet again. This time, Tyreon inspired us with a song about beer. 

We downed her after two wipes. It was simply a matter of meshing what DBM was telling some of us with what we were actually seeing on the screen...and not standing in stuff. Never stand in stuff you can't identify. That's probably a good real life lession, too. Maybe I should make tee shirts for us with that slogan on them. 

Downing Kanae meant we could go farther into Dazar'alor. 

Trash...and lots of it. Oh well. We generally have enough crowd control that we can make sure those mobs don't go anywhere. 

We got to the second "boss", which is a duo, the Jadefire Masters. This would be a no-strats pull. We did really well considering. While we wiped with 5 minutes left in raid time, we did get them to 37%. Our next current content raid will be Saturday and we'll pick it up from the Jadefire Masters -- this time with strat explanations. Congratulations to everyone who came along and helped us succeed. 

One Large Negative

Folks, I posted below about being unprepared for Ulduar with your gear. That stands across all raiding content. It's in our raiding guidelines. "Enchants and Gems are Mandatory (They can be any quality.). It does not matter if you will be replacing your gear. Come gemmed and enchanted." Mizauki had to call several of you out for missing gems or enchants. I vowed I would kick you if that happened after Ulduar. I did not for Uldir because I was running late. 

This ends now. Beginning now, we aren't even going to tell you what's wrong. You're gone from the raid if you are not gemmed and enchanted. I don't care who you are. The rest of the raid has put in the time and effort to get raid ready. We have this stuff in the friggin' guild bank. You got no excuse. Yeah, it takes you 10 minutes to figure this out but figure it out BEFORE you come to the raid and remember, you have to be at the location -- ready to go -- by 8:45. I looked through the raid and we have some really part-part time raiders and they were gemmed and enchanted. Those of you who weren't are online a lot more. If you need help in gemming and enchanting, there are many people in this guild who can cut gems and make enchants or help you figure out what you need. 

If you don't like this, tough. This is what you must do to raid current content with this guild. If I have to kick you to impress upon you the rule, then that's what I'm going to do. I've been harping on this for 8 years. It's time for me to trust that everyone understand what's important for us to succeed. If you were in a tougher progression guild, you wouldn't be getting a final warning. You wouldn't be raiding. Remember, you gimp the raid, and all the other people who have set aside time to do this, when you're not prepared. We don't ask you to look at strats. We don't ask you to bring your own potions or food. This is the one thing we demand so just do it.
