We did it.
We went over raid time and came within seconds of Argus' enrage timer; an enrage timer we knew all too well. We downed him. This netted us the guild achievement.
It has been an amazing journey through Legion. There might have been an explosion at the end, when Sargeras was sucked away, but I'd be a fool to think we've seen the last of him or of the Burning Legion, in whatever form it takes. Besides, there's that whole sword in Silithus thing which is not resolved in any of the cinematics, at least so far. There's supposed to be one more coming, on Queen Azshara, but that might not come until patch 8.1 is close. She was hinted, at BlizzCon last year, to be a raid boss.
So, where do we go from here? We are taking a well-earned break from raiding. Monday night, 6 p.m. EDT, we will be thrown into the war whether we want to be or not. (Bets on server stability, anyone?) This is a world-wide launch, the first of its kind. Please refrain from griping on Facebook. This is bound to be fraught with problems. Then, there is the usual Tuesday reset and finally, on Wednesday, August 15th, we get the chance to play, or maybe not. Quite a few of us remember the server instability that was Cataclysm's launch. Just roll with it.
Our next official raid will be Tuesday, September 4th, although we might do some pick-up stuff in between today and now. The Terrapin 500 is Saturday, August 25th at 9 p.m. in Ironforge. You need a sea turtle to participate, but come over and cheer for the racers. I could still use a race announcer and an official photographer so I can race. Talk to me if you can help
We did it. We cleared normal groups of an expansion before the next one dropped. I'm so proud of us. I hope you are, too.
