Tonight begins ten days of remembering where we've been and celebrating ten years of raids and expansions which have molded us into the guild we are.
When thinking about what events I wanted to do, I felt we should do ten days worth of events and correspond those days to what was going on in the year of WOW. We started life as Spectacular Death when Sunwell Plateau was the pinnacle of raiding so our first event will be a naked Sunwell run; totally naked Sunwell. No weapons. No trinkets. No jewelry. No pets. The only way you'll be allowed to have any of that is if you bring a level 70-75 toon.
Why can't I tame one of these? Seriously.
As the next ten days play out, we will be doing Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria, Warlords of Draenor, and Legion raids as well as other events which we've included so all levels of toons can participate. Our actual anniversary is Friday, December 15th. That will mark the end of "Ten Days of Spectacular Death", but we will officially end the festivities on Sunday, December 18th, with our 10th Annual Christmas party. The very first one was attended by 5 people and was held in the Dwarven District of Stormwind in that one building where the bank now sits. There was nothing in it, other than benches, and I don't know if it ever had a purpose, but it was great for guilds to hang out in.
Please check the calendar and make plans to come to these events. Our Saturday, December 9th event is the attempt for Herald of the Titans, so only 10 people will be raiding that night. I hope you'll make plans to support the raiders.
It doesn't hardly seem possible that, 10 years ago, I was guildless and wondering what to do with myself.
